Kenya loses 300 dollar millionaires in tough macroeconomic conditions

Kenya has seen a significant contraction in its elite financial circles, with 300 dollar millionaires dropping off in just 12 months. The newly released Africa Wealth Report (2026) indicates that the number of millionaires holding over $1 million in assets fell by 4.41% to 6,500 in June 2026 from 6,800 in 2025. Additionally, the number of high-net-worth individuals with more than $100 million in assets declined from 16 to 15 during the same period.
