Kenya Met Reveals Rains to Reduce From Mid May But Warns of Damage to Infrastructure & Agriculture

The Kenya Meteorological Service has announced that the heavy rains affecting the country are expected to reduce from mid-May 2026. While the first week of May will still see downpours, the second half of the month is likely to be drier, marking the end of the March-April-May rainfall season. However, regions such as Central and Western Kenya will continue to receive rainfall, leading to risks of crop damage and waterborne diseases.
