Kenya Met Warns Farmers of Uneven Rainfall in June Weather Outlook

The Kenya Meteorological Service Authority (KMSA) advised farmers to adopt moisture-conservation practices like mulching, minimum tillage, and rainwater harvesting due to near-average to below-average rainfall expected in most regions in June. Warmer temperatures will increase moisture stress, but the Lake Victoria Basin and coastal regions will see above-average rainfall. Northeastern Kenya is most vulnerable. The advisory comes as the WMO warns of developing El Niño conditions.
