Motorists on Eldoret Road in Nairobi face an extended closure until December 30, 2026, due to ongoing construction of a vehicular bridge over the Nairobi River. The extension was caused by unforeseen logistical and site-related challenges, including delays in delivering critical construction materials, beyond the contractor's control. The affected section remains closed since May 18, with alternative routes and a temporary pedestrian bridge in place, impacting travel towards Eastleigh, Uhuru Estate, and Jogoo Road.
