Kenya Plans Ban on Raw Gold Exports as Ruto Pushes Local Processing

President William Ruto announced plans to ban the export of unprocessed gold to expand local mineral processing in Kenya. This policy will make it illegal to export gold unless it has been processed, and the government plans to establish at least three gold refineries in Kakamega and Nairobi.
