Kenya Power confirmed that its customer care account on X was hacked after cryptocurrency-related posts appeared on the platform. The unusual posts were made on the @KenyaPower_Care account on September 30, which is used for customer communication. On October 1, a customer care agent confirmed the breach and advised customers to use other official channels temporarily, stating the company was working to resolve the issue. Kenya Power issued a security advisory urging customers to verify they are using official communication channels and warned it would not request sensitive information such as PINs or bank details.
