Kenya Power Orders 68 Jomvu Land Occupants to Vacate Within 90 Days

Kenya Power has given 68 people it says are unlawfully occupying its LR No. JOMVU MV/222/2 property in Jomvu, Mombasa County, 90 days to leave. The notice, dated October 27, 2026, orders them to stop activities and remove buildings, crops, other improvements and farm animals from the land. Kenya Power says it will proceed with evictions after the deadline, at the occupants’ expense and risk. Those disputing the notice or claiming ownership may seek legal advice and challenge the matter in the Environment and Land Court.
