Kenya Power to Shut All Banking Hall Payment Counters by June 2027

Kenya Power announced plans to close all remaining payment counters in its banking halls by June 2027. Acting MD Dr Jeremiah Kiplagat cited a 70% reduction in customer traffic due to digital solutions. The transition will occur in three phases, starting with Nyeri, Thika, and Kisii offices by June 2026, and ending with Nairobi Electricity House, Stima Plaza, and Mombasa by June 2027. Staff will be reassigned to customer service and digital education.
