Kenya ranks second in Africa in EV charging stations

Kenya has the second-highest number of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in Africa, with 235 stations in 2025, following Egypt's 300. This development is part of the country's effort to reduce carbon emissions by moving away from petroleum-powered transport. More than 25 countries on the continent do not have a single EV charging station.
