Kenya Seeks Land in Gigiri to Build New Offices for UN Missions

The Kenyan government has begun searching for land in Nairobi to build an office complex for its permanent missions to the United Nations. It is seeking a parcel measuring approximately 1 to 1.5 acres, preferably located within Gigiri’s diplomatic hub, about three kilometers from the UN Complex. The missions have operated from rented premises since the 1970s, but the existing offices lack adequate space and essential facilities.
