Kenya should build a minerals industry, not simply mine

The Kenyan government has issued a challenge for minerals to be processed locally rather than shipped overseas. The niobium and rare-earth project at Mrima Hill represents an immediate opportunity to apply these principles, although further exploration and economic analysis are needed.
