Three mourners killed by Kenyan police during a national farewell for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga were not involved in the clash that sparked gunfire, an investigation by BBC Africa Eye found. The victims, between 60 and 160 meters from the scuffles, were shot while attempting to forcibly access the VIP section of Nairobi's Kasarani Stadium. Forensic analysis suggests an elite police unit responsible for protecting the president may have fired the fatal shots, with no evidence of stones or other objects being thrown, only plastic chairs.
