Kenyans Given 14 Days to Submit Views as Govt Moves to Change Border Regulations

The Kenyan government has initiated a 14-day public consultation to gather feedback on proposed regulations aimed at strengthening border management. The draft Kenya Citizenship and Immigration (Border Control and Operations Co-ordination) Regulations, 2026, seek to improve coordination among agencies, enhance security, and modernize tracking systems for people and goods at land, sea, and air borders. Kenyans are invited to submit comments by October 16, 2026, through written proposals to the Border Management Secretariat at Nyayo House. The regulations will facilitate real-time data sharing and better coordination among immigration, police, revenue, and port authorities.
