Kenyans Illegally in U.S. Face Third-Country Deportation After New Supreme Court Ruling

Kenyans living in the United States who have final removal orders may be affected by a new U.S. Supreme Court decision allowing the Trump administration to temporarily resume deporting some migrants to countries where they have no prior ties. The ruling, issued on September 29, lifts restrictions from a lower court that required notice and opportunities to challenge removal to third countries. As of March, 1,282 Kenyans were on the ICE non-detained docket with final orders of removal, which do not necessarily indicate criminal convictions.
