Wilderness father dies after entering sea to help rescue teenagers

A local father died after entering the sea to help rescue two teenagers caught in rip currents at Leentjiesklip Beach in Wilderness on Saturday afternoon. The other father, a German man, and both boys were rescued and taken to hospital. Rescuers found the local father lifeless and attempted CPR, but he could not be revived. Police have opened an inquest.
