Every year, roughly a million young Kenyans enter the labor market, but the formal economy absorbs only a fraction of them. Kenya has established infrastructure to support the digital economy, including digital hubs and training programs in digital skills. The Technopolis Development Authority, established this year, plays a key role in developing technology-driven innovation ecosystems. A nationwide competition has also been launched to encourage young designers to submit their concepts.
