Kikot Dam (500 MW): Over 50 financiers express interest, final cost still pending

Over 50 financial institutions have expressed interest in financing the Kikot-Mbebe hydroelectric dam, projected to have a capacity of 500 MW, according to Ahmat Tom, chairman of KHPC. This figure was revealed during a meeting in Yaoundé on September 15, 2026. The institutions were identified following a consultation with potential financiers, although these expressions of interest do not constitute firm financing commitments.
