Kindiki Asks Judiciary to Lift Orders Suspending NTSA's Instant Fines System

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has urged the judiciary to lift the injunction suspending the NTSA's instant fines system, which was halted by a court ruling. Speaking at a memorial service in Nyeri, he emphasized the system's importance in curbing reckless driving and stated that drivers who fail to pay fines will be detained. Meanwhile, NTSA has requested the court to dismiss a petition challenging the system, arguing that it is no longer active since its withdrawal on March 27, 2026.
