Kindu: Opposition activists arrested days before the march have been released

Activists from the party Ensemble pour la République arrested in Kindu were released on September 15 following interventions from the National Human Rights Commission and the NGO Haki za Binadamu. They were part of a group of 12 members of the Coalition Article 64, detained while raising awareness before a national march. Despite the C64/Maniema's confirmation to proceed with the peaceful march, it did not take place due to a heavy security presence deployed in the city.
