Kinshasa: Launch of 'Lisu Pro' operation to inspect the safety of event halls and public spaces

Following the deadly fire at Panacée event hall in Lingwala that resulted in several deaths, authorities in Kinshasa launched the 'Lisu Pro' operation to inspect the safety of public spaces. The DGPC is deploying 24 teams across the city’s 24 districts to assess safety conditions in event halls, places of worship, schools, hotels, bars, and entertainment venues. The operation began on September 24 and will be gradually extended to other provinces, aiming to identify hazards and irregularities in these facilities.
