Kolda: Four Children Drowned in Floods, Five Deaths Since Start of Rains

Four young boys under 8 years old drowned in a runoff-filled pit in Kandiama, Sinthiang Koundara commune, Vélingara department, Kolda region. A student in his twenties was also struck by lightning on the night of June 8-9. These two tragedies bring the total death toll to five since the start of the rainy season. Authorities urge vigilance around hazardous areas.
