Kongo-Central: Papy Mantezolo reinstated invalidates acts of interim bureau

Papy Mantezolo was reinstated on May 7, 2026, by the Constitutional Court as the president of the Provincial Assembly of Kongo-Central. In his first communication on May 13, he stated that all acts of the interim bureau, which he considers illegal, are null and void. Mantezolo also expressed his intention to correct past mistakes and focus on serving the population while denouncing the decline in provincial revenues due to political conflicts. He announced that his office will review legal actions against the provincial governor.
