On September 13, 2026, Koumassi hosted the Back-to-School Open of Modern Pentathlon, organized by the Ivorian Modern Pentathlon Federation (FIPM), gathering 125 young athletes from Abidjan. Traoré Ibrahim stood out in the U13 boys category with a time of 3 minutes 56 seconds, followed by Ndoye Karim and Ouédraogo. Issouf Aboubacar won the U15 boys category, while Taoro Blandine and Sanfo Alimata excelled in the U17 and U15 girls categories respectively.
