KRA acting commissioner-general on refining and scaling what already works to hit revenue target

Lilian Nyawanda was appointed acting commissioner-general of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) following the abrupt exit of Humphrey Wattanga. By the end of March, KRA had collected 2.038 trillion shillings but still needs to raise 932 billion shillings to meet its annual target of 2.97 trillion. Nyawanda, former Commissioner for Customs, focuses on efficiency and transparency to improve tax performance.
