The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) uncovered a concealment method used by illicit traders to hide ethanol and tobacco during a joint operation with police in Baringo. Officers discovered a secret underground chamber beneath a bathroom floor, containing nine 30-litre jerricans of suspected ethanol and six kilograms of tobacco, valued at Ksh226,292. The suspected trader escaped during the operation, but efforts to apprehend him are underway.
