Kurdish women who fought ISIL seek place in Syria’s new security forces

Following the dissolution of the Syrian Democratic Forces, the all-women YPJ is seeking to maintain its combat role in Syria. Its commanders want over 1,500 fighters to join the Interior Ministry special forces as Damascus aims to bring armed groups under state control.
