Kwango: How Popokabaka is recovering from cholera with the support of MSF

In Popokabaka, the response to cholera has intensified with the support of Médecins sans frontières (MSF) since July 17, 2026. Between June 1 and August 23, there were 756 confirmed cases and 28 deaths reported. MSF has trained medical staff, improved patient care, and strengthened local capacities, leading to better management of the epidemic. Dr. Héritier Mangata emphasized that the situation has significantly improved due to this collaboration.
