Kwilu: Stock Shortage at Bandundu Prison, Inmates Without Food for Nearly a Week

For five days, inmates at Bandundu Central Prison in Kwilu province have been without food due to a stock shortage. The crisis is worsened by debts owed to suppliers, with the government subsidy sent three months ago used to settle these debts. Civil society warns about the deteriorating health of inmates, some being skeletal and tuberculous, with a risk of mass deaths if urgent action is not taken.
