Labor Day in Zoukougbeu: Work Celebrated in Unity, Recognition, and Solidarity

On May 1, 2026, Labor Day was celebrated in Zoukougbeu, presided over by Mme Symakan née Coulibaly Adjatou, the prefect of the department. The ceremony gathered the prefectural body, political and administrative authorities, as well as artisans who highlighted their essential role in local development. Allah Loukou Isaac, president of the artisans, advocated for better recognition of their contribution to the economy, reminding that craftsmanship accounts for 19.5% of GDP and employs about 40% of the active population.
