Lagos 2027 heats up as Hamzat, Ambode’s supporters claim Tinubu’s endorsement

With less than nine months to the gubernatorial elections, the race to succeed Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is shaping up with emerging aspirants. President Bola Tinubu reportedly directed the APC Governor's Advisory Council to support Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat as Sanwo-Olu's successor. Other notable contenders include Akinwunmi Ambode, Dr. Olajide Adediran, and Seyi Tinubu. The Lagos chapter of the APC recently declared that no aspirant had been anointed ahead of the 2027 elections.
