Lagos alerts motorists against fake traffic fine messages, malicious links

The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has warned motorists and the public against fraudulent messages falsely accusing recipients of traffic violations. It advised residents to exercise caution with unsolicited messages and to avoid clicking on unverified links. The ministry clarified that the Lagos State Government does not offer discounts on traffic fines, which can only be paid through authorized channels.
