Lagos Assembly passes 2026 Budget Amendment Bill, approves N200bn bond

The Lagos State House of Assembly has passed the 2026 Appropriation Amendment Bill, allowing for a reordering of budget priorities and faster implementation of infrastructure projects. Lukmon Olumoh, chairman of the Economic Planning and Budget Committee, stated that the amendment includes an increase in bond issuance from N150 billion to N200 billion to fund critical projects. Notable projects include Phase II of the Blue Line Rail Project and the construction of a psychiatric hospital in Ketu Ejirin.
