Lagos backs NSITF, moves to fully implement Employees’ Compensation Scheme

The Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has expressed its readiness to assist the Lagos State Government in establishing the institutional framework for the full implementation of the Employees’ Compensation Scheme. NSITF Managing Director Barr. Oluwaseun Faleye proposed a coordination structure and highlighted Lagos's strategic importance due to its diverse workforce. The Lagos government approved the implementation of the scheme, including the creation of a dedicated unit to manage it.
