Lagos Begins 35-Day Ozumba Mbadiwe Road Repairs Monday

The Lagos State Government will begin a 35-day rehabilitation of Ozumba Mbadiwe Road on October 19, 2026, covering the stretch between the Adetokunbo Ademola/Civic Centre and Samuel Manuwa/BJ junctions. Transportation Commissioner Oluwaseun Osiyemi announced a contra-flow on the Lagos-bound carriageway during the work and issued alternative routes for motorists. Depending on their journey, drivers will be diverted through roads including Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, School Corner and Sandfield. Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officers will manage traffic and help reduce congestion.
