Lagos govt moves to end cycle of dumping, clearing, redumping in Lagos

The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has introduced a new approach to tackle waste blackspots in the state, focusing on the causes of dumping. LAWMA's Managing Director, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, stated that measures are being implemented to strengthen enforcement against illegal dumping and improve waste collection. This strategy is already being applied in areas like Ayobo-Ipaja and Mushin, where collection trucks are deployed to enhance access to waste management services.
