LAGOS-IBADAN GRIDLOCK: Counter-flow drivers worsened crisis – FRSC

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) attributed the worsening traffic situation on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to drivers engaging in counter-flow driving. Lagos State Sector Commander Kehinde Hamzat explained that an accident involving a container exacerbated the situation, prompting some drivers to take the wrong lanes. Despite the removal of the container, the indiscipline of road users led to a complete gridlock.
