Lagos: LAWMA clears illegal traders from TBS, National Theatre axis

Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), in collaboration with Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI), intensified efforts to remove illegal street traders from areas around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) and the Costain Under Bridge/National Theatre axis. Traders were displaced from obstructing pedestrian and vehicle movement to improve public space use and environmental conditions. LAWMA's CEO, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, urged traders not to return to these areas and emphasized ongoing enforcement and surveillance to ensure compliance and maintain cleanliness in Lagos's busy corridors.
