Lagos NMA condemns EFCC raid on UUTH, threatens solidarity strike

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Lagos State Branch condemned the alleged raid on the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH) by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operatives. NMA Lagos Chairman, Dr. Babajide Saheed, described the assault on hospital staff as unlawful and warned that Lagos doctors may join the ongoing indefinite strike in Akwa Ibom if the issue is not resolved. The incident has created anxiety among doctors who now feel unsafe performing their duties.
