Lagos ports handle 84.6% of Nigeria’s N41.4trn trade

In the second quarter of 2026, Lagos ports handled approximately N35.07 trillion, accounting for 84.6% of Nigeria's total trade of N41.44 trillion. Apapa Port managed N25.53 trillion, while Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tin Can Island processed N6.64 trillion and N2.90 trillion, respectively. These figures highlight the strategic concentration of Nigeria's external trade around Lagos.
