Lagos rescues 396 beggars in sanitation enforcement drive

The Lagos State Government has rescued 396 beggars across the metropolis during a coordinated environmental sanitation enforcement operation aimed at promoting a cleaner, safer and more orderly environment. Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said the rescued individuals will be profiled and then handed over to the appropriate authorities for safe return to their respective states. The operation was carried out by operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps.
