The Lagos State Task Force refuted claims that its operatives were positioned around the Sheraton Link Bridge and along Toyin Street to arrest motorists. The agency's Director of Public Affairs, Gbadeyan Abdulraheem, described the report as false and misleading, explaining that traffic enforcement activities had been halted following a directive from Police Commissioner Fatai Tijani on April 1, 2026. He also warned that individuals engaging in unauthorized enforcement actions would be arrested and prosecuted.
