Benfica manager, Jose Mourinho, stated that he has not been contacted by Real Madrid regarding the head coach position. At his pre-match press conference ahead of the clash with Braga, he confirmed that he had no communication with the Madrid club's management. Real Madrid is still searching for a permanent coach after sacking Xabi Alonso and has appointed Alvaro Arbeloa as caretaker manager until the end of the season.
