Nigeria’s landing cost for imported petrol fell to N1,283.81 per litre from N1,292.88, according to a bulletin from the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN). The decline came as Brent crude edged up from $108.80 to $108.90 per barrel. The landing cost remained below Dangote Refinery’s price and depot owners’ prices, while motorists in Lagos and Abuja were paying N1,370 to N1,429 per litre. A proposed 30-day discount at NNPC Limited stations, with petrol priced at N1,350 per litre, had not been implemented at the time of reporting.

REA Managing Director Abba Aliyu said DARES is working toward 1,350 mini-grids and has already provided new or improved electricity to more than five million Nigerians. The power is expected to support agricultural processing and supply the local primary healthcare centre, which previously operated without electricity.
