LASTMA impounds 84 vehicles in Lagos, moves against one-way driving, illegal garages - Daily Post Nigeria

Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) impounded 84 vehicles, including commercial and private, during a weekend crackdown on one-way driving, illegal garages, and other traffic violations across several districts. The operation targeted dangerous practices such as commercial buses reversing against traffic on the Iddo to Idumota stretch, which poses serious safety risks. Some individuals resisted, attacking officers and damaging vehicles, but multiple suspects were apprehended. LASTMA's General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, stated the operation was necessary to address increasing disregard for traffic laws and to restore order on major roads.
