Late Ol Kalou MP Kiaraho’s Aide Wins UDA Ticket for July By-Election

Samuel Muchina Nyaga, who served as the personal assistant to the late Ol Kalou MP, David Kiaraho, has secured the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket for the July 16 by-elections. He received 3,221 votes, surpassing his closest rival, George Wambugu Kanuri, who garnered 3,077 votes. The primaries featured 10 candidates and a total of 8,258 votes were cast. The Ol Kalou parliamentary seat became vacant following the death of David Kiaraho on March 29, 2026.
