Lawal shares 120 free trucks of fertiliser, 200,000 litres of herbicides, 100 crop residue crushers to farmers

Governor Dauda Lawal launched the 2026 wet-season fertiliser programme in Zamfara, distributing 72,000 bags of fertiliser, 200,000 litres of herbicides, and 100 crop residue crushers. He also provided 100 grass choppers, 100 feed milling machines, improved pasture seeds, 20 motorcycles, and 20 mobile phones for agricultural extension agents. The distribution covers all 147 wards across the state's 14 local government areas. Lawal emphasised that agriculture is key to fighting poverty and banditry.
