LAWMA sacks street sweepers, service provider over indiscriminate waste dumping in Lagos

The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has dismissed several street sweepers and their service provider following allegations of indiscriminate waste dumping. Investigations revealed that these workers were involved in dumping refuse on the median along the Oworonshoki-Berger axis, an area known for its waste disposal issues. LAWMA Managing Director Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin stated that actions would be taken against anyone or organization contributing to these environmental challenges.
