Lawyer seeks govt, IGP's intervention in Abuja land dispute

An Abuja-based lawyer, Mathew Onoja, representing a lessee of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has raised concerns over impunity in the takeover of his client's disputed property in Kado, Abuja, despite a pending court case. He stated that the property, lawfully leased from the FCTA, was allegedly allocated to another party under unusual circumstances, prompting his client to petition the police and submit evidence. Men with equipment and bulldozers arrived at the site and began destroying parts of the property, even after the dispute was reported to authorities and the court.
