Lawyers Quit Defence of 3 Suspects in Victoria Mutiso Murder Case

Lawyers representing three suspects in the murder of psychologist Victoria Mutiso withdrew from the case after disagreements with their clients. They stated that allegations of torture, bribery, and tribalism, which were not previously discussed, were introduced in court, affecting their strategy. The court allowed their withdrawal as the suspects did not object, and the bail application was postponed to October 6. The suspects, including two police officers, pleaded not guilty, and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has three days to respond to the bail request.
