Leave, Salaries, Telework...: Changes with the New Labor Code in Senegal

Senegal's new Labor Code, presented by Minister Mamadou Lamine Dianté and Director Ramatoulaye Niang, introduces several reforms including an extension of maternity leave to 18 weeks from 14, clearer regulation of telework, and social protection for independent workers. It also strengthens measures against harassment, violence, and discrimination at work, and formalizes the right to withdraw from a dangerous situation.
